WHO WE ARE We are a group of folks dedicated to orthodox theology, historic consistency and cultural relevance. We subscribe to the historic creeds of the faith. Nothing new. Just plain old orthodox Christianity. More than that, we subscribe to the fact that our lives are in God's hands. We believe that His companionship reaches places in our lives bookbound theology can never touch. Every day in every way we long to experience the wonderful transforming power of Christ in our lives. And we believe that is authentic orthodox theology. We subscribe to the truth that 'those who do not know the past are destined to repeat it'. In the case of Church history that is a breathtakingly accurate statement. While understanding and appreciating our spiritual roots is of paramount importance to us, understanding our historic missteps, stumbles and failures is even more important. We certainly do not want to repeat or continue in them. We simply want to return to biblical Christianity in the light of past successes and failures of the Church. And we believe that is historic consistency. We subscribe to being genuinely relevant in our contemporary culture. Cultural relevance is something of a popular buzzword among Christians. What does it mean? Does it mean that we wink at the cultural ungodliness around us? Does it mean that we join them or adopt their ways? No on both counts. Jesus did neither. He walked in human sandals, yet never ignored or overlooked our dirty feet. He became a man, yet remained sinless and uncorrupted by contemporary culture. He did not make light of sin in order to make folks comfortable, nor did He adopt the attitudes of the religious crowd in order to curry their favor. His relevance transcended those things.
